The Perfect Camel Coat
The Camel Coat, the wardrobe staple for every elegant woman can sometimes be quite difficult to find. As seasons change, the styles and the shades of the camel color varies slightly. Nevertheless, the camel coat I was after was the timeless classic camel coat, with that shade of beige which is universal to every season, with clean and sharp cuts with the perfect length, with pockets, understated style, well, as you can see it is quite a long wish list. No wonder I spent months looking for it before finding it during the Christmas holidays at Net a Porter.
Well, the lady in question is this JOSEPH camel coat in a gorgeous shade of sand. JOSEPH named it as the Cart cotton-blend twill coat. It has a mid-weight cotton-blend twill and front slant pockets which are fully lined. There are button fastenings through the double-breasted front and the composition is a comfortable 53% cotton with a 38% wool. It is Dry Clean Only which is expected from a wool coat.
The main reason I fell in love with it the first place is it’s cut and color. It is precisely the shade of sand I was after and I loved the very straight sharp cut of it making it look very effortlessly chic, a very Parisian look I always love.
Then when I received it through my favorite fashion website, Net – a – Porter, I thought the picture didn't do justice for this beauty. The outer fabric is so soft to touch and it keeps you warm through the coldest of winter days. It is a delight to wear and so easy to style for many different looks.
As a contemporary brand JOSEPH are focused around “a strong core of luxury essentials” and I think they did just that with this Camel coat by chic tailoring and flawless design. Led by creative director Louise Trotter, this label is the ultimate go-to for smart but modern workwear and off-duty essentials that will never date. So sounds like I have got a keeper!
