Chanel Beauty Eyebrow pencils and eye brow gel Review - TESTING BEAUTY - EPISODE 18
Testing Beauty! The beauty series that puts all the makeup and skincare products to the test! In Episode 18, we are testing the eyebrow product line from Chanel Beauty.
Worn by many french icons, Chanel beauty is famous for giving you that good skin, luxurious yet minimum Parisian look. Yet eyebrows are such a crucial part of framing your face, and it is time to find out if the iconic French house meets our expectations.
CHANEL Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil
£ 26
Application and Lasting Power: This is a classic old-school style eyebrow pencil that comes double-ended with a brush, perfect for a light touch to create a more natural look. It is not waterproof however lasted a long work day perfectly well.
Colour Range: Comes in 4 shades, is not super pigmented and allows you to control how much filling you want to do.
Value for Money: For a classic pencil, I think £26 is on the pricy side, but bear in mind that it is Chanel.
Final Score: 6/10
CHANEL Stylo Sourcils Waterproof Defining Longwear Eyebrow Pencil
£ 31
Application and Lasting Power: Double-ended eyebrow pencil with an angled edge allows you to colour larger areas if you wish while also giving you the flexibility to draw single strokes from the sharper end. It is a waterproof eyebrow pencil, so it lasts really nicely, and if you are someone who sweats a lot in the summer or wants to swim with a touch of makeup on holidays, this is perfect!
Colour Range: Comes in 5 different shades, more pigmented than the Sculpting pencil, but compared to the Benefit equivalent, it has less pigmentation.
Value for Money: Out of all the Chanel options, this is the best one, though £31 is still on the pricy side.
Final Score: 7/10
CHANEL Le Gel Sourcils Longwear Eyebrow Gel
£ 28
Application and Lasting Power: I tested the clear one and wasn't impressed with the texture. It didn't do much to my brows, and I ended up brushing them a lot and using a lot of the product with not much of a visible improvement. I was hoping for a laminating-style gel that has a lot of holding power, this wasn't it.
Colour Range: Comes in 3 shades, Blonde, Brun and Transparent
Value for Money: Quite expensive for an eyebrow gel and I didn't really see the value with this one.
Final Score: 2/10
